D-7 Lebaran 2023. Passengers At Soetta Airport Start Crowded

TANGERANG - The number of passengers traveling through Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) Tangerang, Banten Province, has been observed to increase.

In detail, the number of passengers arriving at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Saturday, April 15, was 58,862 people. Meanwhile, the number of passengers departing was 68,714 people. Based on data obtained from the Integrated Eid Transportation Command Post 2023 Soetta Airport in Tangerang, this number increased from the record number of passengers in the same period last year which was recorded as many as 98,227 people.

"We predict an increase for passengers of around 20 percent during the 2023 Eid Transport period," said Senior Manager of Branch Communication and Legal at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, M Holik Muwardi, as reported by Antara, Saturday.

In addition to the number of passengers, the number of flights has also increased. In the seven-day period ahead of Lebaran 2022, the number of flights was recorded at 837 aircraft. Meanwhile, in the same period this year, the number rose to 973 aircraft.

Holik revealed that Soekarno-Hatta Airport predicts that the increase in aircraft traffic will be in the range of 10 percent to 15 percent during the 2023 Eid Transport period.

Based on data from the 2023 Eid Transport Integrated Command Post Soekarto-Hatta Airport until 11.10 WIB, the number of flights recorded was 209 aircraft consisting of 135 departure planes and 74 aircraft arrived. This number includes 182 domestic flights and 27 international flights.

Most flights occurred from 09.00 to 10.00 am with a total of 39 flights. In detail, flight departures were recorded as many as 21 aircraft and the number of flights arriving at Soekarno-Hatta Airport was recorded at 18 planes. The average number of flights per hour is nine aircraft.
