Evacuation Of Flood Victims In South Kalimantan, Prioritize Pregnant Women, Elderly To Children

JAKARTA - Pregnant women, children to elderly (elderly) flood victims in Binuang, Tapin Regency, South Kalimantan (Kalsel) will be the priority for the evacuation of joint officers.

Regent Tapin HM Arifin Arpan said the joint team had carried out the evacuation in accordance with the directions and carried out their duties properly.

"The health team and officers from the Puskesmas are ready to serve," said Regent Tapin, Friday, January 15, reported by Antara.

The Regent said, although it is not as bad as other districts or cities in South Kalimantan, the Tapin Regency Government is still prepared to face disasters.

Rainhard Maradona, Head of Operations for the Tapin Police, added that the affected people who needed help had been successfully evacuated.

Today, for example, officers managed to bring two elderly people who were paralyzed and a pregnant woman to the nearest Puskesmas.

Meanwhile, Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Tapin Said Abdul Nasir, said that there were 1,492 affected residents in the sub-district.

"Currently the water level ranges from 0 - 150 cm, there are no casualties," he said.

Some of the residents affected by the flood were evacuated at the Faturrahman Musholla and to the homes of local residents who were thought to be still safe and some were surviving, especially men guarding their belongings in their homes.
