Komjen Listyo Sigit Becomes The Sole Candidate For Chief Of Police, Deputy Chief Of Police: I Fully Support!

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo handed over the name Komjem Listyo Sigit Prabowo as a candidate for National Police Chief replacing Idham Azis who entered retirement in February 2021.

Deputy Chief of Police, Commissioner General Gatot Eddy Pramono, emphasized that his party fully supports the President's move. He is sure, Listyo Sigit will bring the police to become a promoter.

"I fully support Pak Sigit in creating a promoter (professional, modern and reliable) Police," said Gatot through a press release in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Friday, January 15.

According to Gatot, his party will work together with the new National Police Chief to encourage and bring the National Police institution to continue to improve in facing the increasingly tough challenges ahead.

In addition, the National Police will continue to take various steps in order to realize the expectations of the community.

"I am still Bhayangkara who is Satya Prabu (Bhayangkara who is loyal to the state and leadership). We will jointly build institutions to continue the devotion to the state," said Gatot Eddy.

Earlier, Wednesday, January 13, President Jokowi handed over the name of the single candidate for Chief of Police to the DPR, namely Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo as a replacement for General Idham Azis who will retire on February 1, 2021.

Listyo Sigit is currently the head of the National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency. Listyo Sigit Prabowo asked for support and prayers from the public ahead of the fit and proper test for the National Police chief candidate next week.

"Thank you for your support and support. Please pray so that you can carry out a series of fit and proper tests properly," said Sigit.
