JAKARTA - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) senior investigator Novel Baswedan hopes that the Head of Criminal and Criminal Investigation Police, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo, who is nominated as Chief of Police, is brave and anti-corruption. This is important to improve the internal of the Police, which he says is divided into many factions.

"Hopefully, Komjen Listyo Sigit, the only candidate for National Police Chief, is a brave and anti-corruption person. So that Pak Sigit has the courage to improve the Police," Novel said as quoted from his Twitter account @nazaqistsha, Friday, January 15.

Furthermore, he said that internal improvements had not been running so far, so that many factions were full of conflicts of interest within the Bhayangkara Corps and held each other hostage.

"Many factions in the Police are full of interests and are holding each other hostage. So that the Police leadership does not have the courage to reform Polri into a trusted institution," he said.

Previously, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo asked for prayers and support from the public so that the fit and proper test series at the DPR next week can run smoothly.

He said this after President Joko Widodo was appointed as the sole candidate for the National Police Chief.
