Soon Maluku Will Have An Aircraft Landing Training Center

MALUKU - Head of the Maluku Province Governor's Team for the Acceleration of Development (TGPP) Hadi Basalamah ensured that this province would soon have a Craft Aircraft landing training center or Wing In Ground (WIG).

This was discussed in the alignment of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the Central Maluku Regency Government (Pemkab) and PT Tasageoby Group.

"All PKS narratives discussed through discussions and input from the legal team are made in the form of business with the government, therefore it must be verified in the DPR as a representation of legal content, related to legislation," Hadi Basalamah said in a written statement, Thursday, April 6, quoted by Antara.

He explained, for the alignment of PKS, the Governor's authority was delegated to the Regent of Central Maluku, because currently the position of regent as an official is not a definitive official, so the authority to sign PKS must be with the approval of the Governor.

"So that this PKS is legitimized, consultation is related to the rules of government at the Ministry of Home Affairs in accordance with applicable regulations, so that it runs well and becomes a pillar, so that PKS can be accounted for and can be used to be an indicator in cooperating," he said.

According to him, this is also related to budget policies and other discretions so that they can be consulted together.

"The Maluku government will not be able to build its economy if there is no source of government spending, so the main target is how investment will provide a multiplier effect, which will make it easier for one of the programs to encourage solutions regarding connectivity," he said.

WIG technology, which is a technology that can reduce semi-nimal drag by eliminating hydrodynamic drag on an airplane.

This technology is similar to the much more efficient Hovercraft, such as the Blue Dolphin BD-12G classified by the United Nations International Maritime Organization (IMO) as the Class A WIG Craft (Wing-in-Ground Effect Craft)

It is hoped that later with the presence of the Wig Craft training center, it can provide new hope to become a national project pilot as a form of Maluku's contribution to Indonesia.

Previously, PT Tasageoby Group CEO Stuart Townley Janes said that his party would invest US$250 million or equivalent to Rp3.7 trillion in Maluku Province, in four main interest areas, namely in the fields of fisheries, agriculture, tourism and hospitality and transportation.

"At this early stage, the Tasageoby Group focuses on transportation through its subsidiary Tasageoby Logistics with IndoWIG as the spearhead and end user and operator of the WIG technology aircraft," he also said.

The Tasageoby Group, he said, has been appointed as a non-exclusive agent for the WIG aircraft produced by ARON Flying Ship from South Korea, to be promoted and find buyers for their products in Indonesia.

Regarding this, Stuart said, his party had held meetings with various related parties in Jakarta and in Ambon for the development of WIG aircraft aircraft technology.
