Cloudy Weather Dominates Jakarta Weather This Friday

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicted that the weather for the DKI Jakarta area on Friday morning was dominated by cloudiness in all cities and regencies.

Quoted from Antara, Friday, January 15, at 05.05 WIB, there is the potential for light rain in a number of areas which is expected to occur in the afternoon and evening.

BMKG also issued an early warning of potential rain accompanied by lightning or lightning in the South Jakarta and East Jakarta areas in the afternoon.

Especially for the weather in North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands which are the search locations for the downed Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 aircraft and the Integrated Search and Rescue Post, the weather conditions were cloudy in the morning, then cloudy in the afternoon. Entering the evening, the weather conditions are thick cloudy and early in the morning it is estimated that there is the potential for light rain.

Overall, on this Friday, Jakarta's air temperature ranges from 24-31 degrees Celsius, with details, West Jakarta (24-31 degrees), Central Jakarta (25-31 degrees), South Jakarta and East Jakarta (24-31 degrees ), North Jakarta (25-31 degrees) and the Thousand Islands (26-30 degrees).

The humidity of the air will range from around 70 to 90 percent, with details of West Jakarta ranging from 75-90 percent, Central Jakarta 75-90 percent, South Jakarta and East Jakarta 70-90 percent, North Jakarta 75-90 percent and the Thousand Islands around 80 -90 percent.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is imposing Large-Scale Social Restrictions which are tightened together with the Java-Bali Restriction on Community Activities (PPKM), residents are advised to stay at home only, carry out activities at home, reduce activities outside the home to reduce the number of positive cases of COVID- 19.
