Golkar Respects PDIP For Still In Its Own Position But The Big Coalition Is Wide Open

JAKARTA - The Golkar Party respects the PDIP decision which until now is still taking a position to carry its own presidential candidate (candidate). However, Golkar stated that the grand coalition that combines the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) and the Awakening of Indonesia Raya (KIR) is still wide open for PDIP. "Meanwhile, it was KIB and KIR who met. If PDIP is still taking its own position, taking its own strength, and we respect that," said Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party Ahmad Doli Kurnia, Monday, April 3. According to Doli, the more political parties that join this grand coalition will actually get better. Moreover, PDIP is also a political party that supports the government. "So yes, we are just open, we are called building a big coalition. In the end, the coalition will get better," said Doli. Meanwhile, the chairman of the PDIP DPP Said Abdullah ensured that PDIP would still carry its own internal cadres. Even so, his party supports the idea of a major coalition by five political parties. "“PDI Perjuangan to this day still carries its own cadres," said Said, Monday, April 3. Said assessed that the fat coalition in the 2024 General Election did not guarantee victory because it was the presidential candidate. “ About big or not, does not guarantee victory. The one who determines victory is certainly the first figure, then the party's solidity, ” explained Said. Even so, Said did not rule out the possibility that his party would join. This is because PDIP also wants to cooperate with other parties.
