A candidate for Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) from Mataram, NTB with the aim of Saudi Arabia being repatriated because it was proven to have departed illegally. Since January 2023, it was reported that 8 illegal workers were successfully thwarted. "Our pick-up was carried out at the NTB Office of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency (BP2PMI), then we handed it over to the family on March 23, 2023," said Head of the Mataram City Manpower Office (Disnaker) H Rudi Suryawan, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, April 3. He said the repatriated PMI candidate was named Rosa Yulanda Febriastuti, a resident of the Kebon Raja neighborhood, Mataram City. As in previous cases, Rosa was proven to have left illegally in Surabaya. "With this case, the total illegal PMI candidates from Mataram City who have been sent home since January 2023, as many as eight people," he said.

While alluding to the number of PMI candidates who submitted passport-making recommendations during 2023, based on the latest data, said Rudi, the data as of January 1-10 February 2023, recorded 183 submissions and 26 declared complete, the remaining 157 are still in the registration process. "A total of 183 PMI candidate registration applications are aimed at seven countries, namely Hong Kong, Malaysia, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates," he said.
