JAKARTA - The existence of a suspect in the case of suspicion of interim replacement bribery (PAW) of a member of the House of Representatives (DPR), Harun Masiku, has not been detected until now. He has been on the run since January 9, meaning that he hasn't been detected for a month.

The Police, which have been involved in searching for Harun, have had no satisfying results. The trace of the PDI-P politician has yet to be obtained.

Karo Penmas DivHumas Polri Brig. Gen. Argo Yuwono said, several places that Harun Masiku frequently visited have been traced. It's just that the good news about Harun's whereabouts has not been obtained.

"Of course, we are looking for none at his house, in other places that are frequently visited, there are none, and everything in his brother's place is gone," said Argo in Jakarta, Tuesday, February 11.

Efforts to distribute wanted posters containing Harun Masiku's face to all levels of the Indonesian National Police have not yielded any results. The police can only wait.

"Everything is still running, we are providing assistance to find HM DPOs. We are still waiting from the regional police and regional police levels. To what extent have we found them or not, we are still waiting from the region," said Argo.

Previously, the National Police Chief, General Idham Aziz, said that the distribution of wanted posters against Harun Masiku was aimed at making his whereabouts quickly monitored. So, the police can immediately follow up.

"I have ordered the Head of Criminal Investigation to send DPOs to all Polda, 34 Polda and all Polres. So all members of the Police already hold DPO suspect HM," said Idham in Jakarta, Wednesday, February 5.

The effort to find this bright spot is solely to help anti-graft agencies in handling corruption cases. In addition, if Harun's figure has been found, the National Police will immediately hand him over to the KPK.

"We just pray that hopefully later the Police will find it, of course we will hand it over to the KPK. We are providing assistance to the KPK based on a letter submitted to the Police," said Idham.

The case started on Wednesday, January 8. The KPK named four people as suspects in a bribery case related to the interim replacement (PAW) of members of the 2019-2024 DPR RI during the election. The four are PDIP candidate Harun Masiku; KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan; former Bawaslu member as well as Wahyu's confidant; Agustiani Tio Fridelina; and Saeful who is a private party.

Among the four suspects, only Harun Masiku has not yet surrendered to the KPK. According to the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Harun left Indonesia and went to Singapore on January 6, or two days before the KPK's silent operation.

It's just that, recently the immigration authorities corrected the statement. The Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Ronny Sompie, was removed from his position, because he reported that Harun was back in Indonesia. Harun entered Indonesia on January 7, or the day before the KPK OTT took place and it is not known where his whereabouts.
