SURABAYA - As many as 21 received the first phase vaccine in East Java. The first person to receive a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in East Java was Deputy Governor of East Java Emil Elistianto Dardak.

Based on VOI monitoring at the location, vaccine injection was carried out at the Grahadi State building, Surabaya, Thursday, January 14. The injection of the COVID-19 vaccine against Emil was carried out by a Team of Doctors from the Dr. Soetomo Surabaya Hospital. Emil had an injection in the left arm.

Before Emil's injection, he seemed to be consulting about his general health condition. The team of doctors also showed a vaccine box that reads Sinovac before injecting the vaccine into Emil.

The head of the East Java COVID-19 COVID-19 Handling Task Force Curative Team, Joni Wahyuhadi, who accompanied Emil, said a vaccine administration procedure had been prepared.

"There are four tables that have been prepared. The first is registration, the second is for health checks, then a third table for vaccinations and a fourth table for observation," said Joni, who is also the President Director of Dr. Soetomo Hospital in Surabaya.

He said, all the possibilities related to the Post-Immunization Follow-up Event (KIPI) had also been prepared.

"In Grahadi we prepare a mini ICU, we also prepare an ambulance that can go directly to Dr. Soetomo Hospital if things happen that are not desired," said Joni.

After Emil Dardak, a number of East Java Forkopimda officials were also given the first dose of Sinovac vaccine. However, the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa and did not participate in the vaccine injection, because he was positive for Covid-19.

Meanwhile, the Head of East Java Regional Police, Inspector General Nico Afinta, who previously stated that he was ready to receive the first vaccine in East Java, was not present at this vaccination. The reason for his absence was not immediately clear.

After Emi Dardakl, the second person to receive the vaccine was East Java Regional Police Deputy Brigadier General Slamet Hadi Supraptoyo, Pangdam V / Brawijaya Suharyanto, Deputy Chairman of the East Java DPRD Sahat Tua Simanjuntak, Kajati East Java Mohamad Dhofir, and East Java Provincial Secretary Heru Tjahjono.

Then the injection of the COVID-19 vaccine was continued by the Chairperson of East Java IDI Sutrisno, Head of East Java Regional Police Hisbullah Huda, Head of BBPOM Surabaya Rustiawati, Director of RSU Dr. Soetomo Dr. Joni Wahyuhadi.
