Sukabumi - A student from Ciomas, Bogor, Riski Baehaki (18), who was missing by the waves of Pasir Putih Beach in Pangumabahan Village, Ciracang District, Sukabumi Regency on Tuesday, March 28, was found dead.

"On Wednesday, at 08.18 WIB, the joint SAR team managed to find the victim on behalf of Rizki Baihaki, aged 18, a resident of Ciemas, Bogor," said Sukabumi Police Chief, AKP Tenda Sukendar, in his statement, Wednesday, March 29.

Tenda said the process of searching for victims was by boat. Riski's body was found not far from the scene where the victim drowned, which was about 150 meters.

"After this, we will continue the evacuation process to the Jampang Kulon Hospital," he said.

He said the search effort had been carried out by dozens of joint SAR personnel since last Tuesday by dividing the search area into two. The first team conducted a search using a rubber boat by combing the sea up to a radius of 3 NM (nautical mile) from the scene.

"Then the second team conducted a search by visually combing the land route along the shoreline to a radius of 1 KM (kilometer) from the scene," he said.

Previously, a group of students from Ciomas, Bogor Regency, were dragged by the waves at Pasir Putih Beach, Pangumabahan Village, Ciracap District, Sukabumi Regency.
