Tomorrow, Bareskrim Handed Over Two Files Of Rizieq Shihab's Investigation

JAKARTA - Bareskrim Polri will submit the investigation files of two cases of alleged violation of the health protocol (prokes) involving Rizieq Shihab to the Prosecutor's Office. The transfer of the files is planned for Thursday, January 13.

The Criminal Action Director of the National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit, Brigadier General Andi Rian, said the investigation was related to the violation of the prokes at the wedding of Rizieq Shihab's daughter in Petamburan and the inauguration of the pesantren in Megamendung, Bogor.

"Tomorrow, the case files will be handed over," Andi told reporters, Wednesday, January 13.

For the investigation files on the Petamburan case, said Andi, there were six suspects. Then, the case of Megamendung was only one person. Of the two cases, one of the suspects was Rizieq Shihab.

"Petamburan 6 suspects in 1 case file, Megamendung 1 suspect in 1 case file," he said.

For your information, in the Petamburan prokes violation case, the police named six intermediate suspects. One of them is Rizieq Shihab. In this case, he was charged with Article 160 KUHP and 216 KUHP.

Meanwhile, the other five suspects, Haris Ubaidillah as committee chairman, Ali bin Alwi Alatas (committee secretary), Maman Suryadi (FPI commander and security officer), Sobri Lubis (person in charge of the event), and Idrus (head of the event section). In this case, they are Article 93 of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine.

Meanwhile, for the alleged violation of the Megamendung prokes, the police named Rizieq Shihab as a suspect.

In this case, the investigator used Article 14 paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) of Law Number 4 of 1984 concerning Infectious Disease Outbreaks, Article 93 of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine, and Article 216 of the Criminal Code.
