Asking Kupas To Complete The Rp349 T Odd Transaction Statement At The Ministry Of Finance, Benny K Harman To Mahfud MD: No Ewuh Pakewuh

JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of the House of Representatives Benny K. Harman responded to a tweet by Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD who challenged him to attend the House Commission III Hearing Meeting (RDP) with the Money Laundering Crime Committee (TPPU) on Wednesday, March 29.

"Oh, I came, of course I came. I will definitely ask, I ask Mr. Mahfud not to be ewuh pakewuh because he has started to reveal that," said Benny at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday, March 27, which was confiscated by Antara.

Benny asked Mahfud to consistently prove the truth of the statement he made to the public regarding suspicious financial transactions worth IDR 349 trillion within the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) and open it to the public.

"Don't get rid of the problem, don't let him 'cla-mencle' my term, right? And be consistent," he said.

Benny also questioned Mahfud's position in disclosing to the public about suspicious financial transactions worth Rp. 349 trillion at the Ministry of Finance has reported and known to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

For this reason, Benny assessed that if Mahfud could not be held accountable for the truth of his statement, it would have an impact on disrupting stability in the country.

"Thank Mahfud, Mahfud's actions that were affected were the president, the impact of which was the government," he said.

However, he refused that he was said to have challenged Mahfud for the truth regarding the statement of suspicious financial transactions worth Rp. 349 trillion at the Ministry of Finance. Benny said he only wanted to clarify the truth.

"This means to support him so that he is open to building a clean Indonesia, but if he is unable to account for what he is talking about then I judge, I think, Pak Mahfud has played politics," said Benny.

Previously, Mahfud MD stated that he was ready to attend the invitation of Commission III of the DPR to discuss suspicious transactions worth IDR 349 trillion at the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday, March 29.

"Bismillah, hopefully Commission III of the DPR RI will not back and forth again invite me, the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs/Chairman of the KNK-PP-TPPU (Chairman of the National Coordination Committee for Prevention and Eradication of the Crime of Money Laundering). I am ready to attend," Mahfud tweeted through his personal account @mohmahfudmd on Sunday, March 26.

Apart from Benny, Mahfud challenged three members of Commission III of the DPR, namely Arteria Dahlan and Arsul Sani to attend the meeting to reveal the truth of his statement.

"I challenge Brother Benny K. Harman to also attend and there is no excuse that there is another task. Likewise Brother Arteria and Brother Arsul Sani. Don't look for reasons for absence," he added.

The RDP of Commission III of the DPR with the TPPU Committee is scheduled to be attended by Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD as Chairman of the TPPU Committee and Head of PPATK Ivan Yustiavandana as Secretary of the TPPU Committee, and Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati as a member of the TPPU Committee.
