Troubled Cawang Substation, A Number Of Areas In Jakarta Power Down

JAKARTA - The Cawang Substation suffered a disturbance on Tuesday, February 11. This disruption has disrupted the flow of electricity in a number of areas of East Jakarta.

"The disruption that caused the blackout of some customers in the Cawang, Rawajati, Pengadegan, Kebon Pala, Batu Ampar, Cililitan, Cijantung and Kramatjati areas was due to a 150 kilo volt power grid disruption," said Vice President Public Relations of PLN Dwi Suryo Abdullah in his statement.

PLN apologized for the power outages experienced by some customers. This disturbance occurred at around 11.34 WIB and is now in the normalizing stage by transferring the electrical load to other networks

"Currently, the team is carrying out checks and repairs to speed up the recovery of the electricity system," he said.

On social media Twitter, a number of netizens have questioned this blackout. The PLN Twitter admin also said that the blackout was due to a disturbance at the Cawang substation.
