The South Sulawesi Provincial Government Has Spent Hundreds Of Billions To Open Isolated Access

SOUTH Sulawesi - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of South Sulawesi has allocated a budget of IDR 150 billion for the handling of the Takkalasi - Bainange - Lawo section road, Soppeng Regency, South Sulawesi.

"For 2023, it is allocated Rp73.2 billion to handle 12.1 km in the Barru and Soppeng areas. Around Rp150 billion has been allocated by the South Sulawesi Provincial Government," said South Sulawesi Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman in a press statement in Makassar, Sunday, March 26.

He explained that the Barru Regency access by pass to Soppeng Regency was built in stages. Hundreds of billions have been disbursed to open access to isolated areas and cut the distance.

Usually through Bulu Dua, you have to travel about 70 km. However, through the Takkalasi - Bainange - Lawo section it only takes 38 km. This shortens the journey from Barru to Soppeng about 30 km.

The governor said the update on the construction of the Takkalasi - Bainange - Lawo section was currently in the middle of the progress of land clearing.
