Wild Racing After Saur, 33 Motorcycles And 4 Cars In Kendari Arrested By Police

The police have again secured 33 motorbikes and 4 cars involved in illegal racing in the Kendari Police jurisdiction.

Kendari Police Chief Kombes Pol Muhammad Eka Fathurrahman said the operation carried out by the Kendari Police Satlantas was to curb illegal racing and vehicles using racing or brong exhausts.

"Operation controlling illegal racing and exhaust tracing or brong by personnel from the Kendari Police Traffic Unit," said Eka in Kendari, Friday, March 24, confiscated by Antara.

He said the operation was carried out after the saur of Ramadan 1444 Hijri/2023 M. Or to be precise on Friday, March 24, at around 05.20 WITA.

EEka said that during the operation, the Kendari Police Traffic Unit managed to secure 37 units of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles consisting of 33 motorcycles and four cars.

"Vehicles caught carrying out illegal racing and using racing exhaust or broong that were secured in the Bahtimas Bridge area amounted to 47 units, including 33 motorbikes and four cars," he explained.

He explained that the operation to control the vehicle was carried out until 07.00 WITA. "From the end of the dawn prayer, until 07.00 WITA," he added.

To be given a deterrent effect, he continued, the motorbike was immediately taken to the Kendari Police Headquarters for further processing.

He revealed that the operation to control vehicles was one of the police's efforts to suppress the rise of illegal racing carried out by a group of teenagers in Kendari City.

"Greet groups often carry out illegal racing actions in the Holy Month of Ramadan 1444 Hijri/2023 AD so that it has greatly disturbed other road users," he said.

He emphasized that the operation will continue to be carried out by the Kendari Police Traffic Unit during the Holy Month of Ramadan 1444 Hijri/2023 AD.
