Mas Gibran Guarantees Protection For Victims Of Sexual Harassment Taekwondo Coach In Solo

SOLO - The Solo City Government, Central Java, accompanied victims of alleged sexual harassment by a taekwondo coach at one of the sports training venues. "We will escort it, please report it, I and the Chief of Police continue to coordinate," said Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka in Solo, Antara, Friday, March 24. He ensured that the Solo City Government protected the victims of sexual harassment. In fact, if needed, there will be assistance from psychologists. "It takes a psychologist or what is my job. I take full responsibility," he said. Asked about the increasing number of victims, his party encourages other victims to dare to report. "It must be protected, while walking. We also assist the victim's parents, we assist our teachers (instructure), and we protect the victim," he said. Regarding the perpetrator who had been the Chairman of the City Management (Pengkot) Taekwondo Surakarta, he had asked the provincial level taekwondo management to immediately make replacements. "A situation like this should be immediately chosen by a new chairman. The point is that I have asked the city manager to immediately choose a new one. It is impossible for children to stop training, competitions must continue, because their children have the potential to all," he said. Meanwhile, he said, this incident became a lesson for all parties. "Learning for us to be selective in choosing a place, basically parents must be careful. Didn't expect the person to be like that either," he said.
