Central Jakarta Police Investigate Storage Warehouse For Used Imported Clothing At Pasar Senen

JAKARTA - Central Jakarta Metro Police are still investigating the raids on the warehouse storage of used imported clothing at Senen Market, Central Jakarta. The raids were carried out by a joint team of the Directorate of Special Crimes at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police and the Central Jakarta Metro Police on Monday night, March 20. "That's what the Bareskrim dreamed of. The combination of all of them, from the Resort Police, also went down. I want to check first, later (the examination file)," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Komarudin when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, March 21. The raids were carried out at 19 warehouse stalls and the sale of imported used clothes on the 3rd floor of Pasar Senen, Central Jakarta. The raids were a follow-up to the direction of President Joko Widodo regarding the control of imported clothing through the Ministry of Home Affairs Regulation Number 51/M-DAG/PER/7/2015 which prohibits imports of used clothing. Previously, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police raided several shops that were used as warehouses for imported products in the Senen area, Central Jakarta. First, the Police Criminal Investigation Unit investigators and a team from the Directorate General of Customs confiscated 513 balpres. The joint team also raided a storage warehouse located on Jalan Kramat, Senen District, Central Jakarta. There, it was confiscated approximately 600 balpres.
