The main components of the zakat ecosystem, said the Vice President, include the source of zakat or the origin of zakat assets, namely muzakki (people who pay zakat), amil zakat (managers and distributors of zakat) and mustahik (recipients of zakat). He emphasized that starting from the aspects of planning, collection, distribution to accountability for zakat, all must be managed professionally and safely. In addition, components supporting the zakat ecosystem are needed, such as improving regulations, governance, increasing literacy and education and research, optimizing the cooperation channel for aid partners, to utilizing data and digitizing and strengthening associations and networks. "Baznas as a national zakat management institution should actively play a role in strengthening the national zakat ecosystem," he said.
