KUDUS - Kudus Regent Hartopo targets the disbursement of direct cash assistance program (BLT) funds for cigarette workers can be done before Lebaran 2023.

Head of the Social Service, Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning in Kudus Regency, Agustinus Agung Karyanto, revealed that data on prospective BLT recipients had been prepared.

Currently, his party is submitting a decree regarding the data of prospective recipients to the Kudus Regent to be ratified before the aid is disbursed.

The number of cigarette workers who came from a number of cigarette factories in Kudus was 77,135 workers. Workers from Kudus were proven by the ID card as many as 66,179 people, while the outside KTP Kudus was 10,956 people.

Of the tens of thousands of workers, 33,315 workers were proposed to get BLT from the Kudus Regency APBD, while 38,835 workers were proposed through Central Java APBD, and 4,985 workers from the Demak Regional Budget.

The budget prepared through the Kudus 2023 APBD is IDR 40 billion, while the BLT is for two months of allocation, namely March and April 2023 which will be given at once, ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

The number of prospective recipients this year is claimed to have accommodated cigarette workers who missed the previous year had not yet received BLT.
