PEP Prabumulih Field Contributes Income Of 348 Million US Dollars For Pertamina

PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Prabumulih managed to record revenue of 348 million US dollars throughout 2024.

This figure increased 16 percent compared to the previous year which reached 300 million US dollars.

General Manager of PHR Zone 4, Djudjuwanto, explained that the increase in income could not be separated from Prabumulih Field's success in increasing oil production.

Throughout 2024, oil production in Prabumulih Field has increased significantly, from 8,000 bopd at the beginning of the year to 11,200 bopd at the end of the year.

"This achievement is also caused by optimization of operational costs throughout 2024. Prabumulih Field has optimized the operating budget of 15 percent so that production costs only US$9 per boe. We hope that revenues in 2025 will continue to grow," said Djudju, quoted on Friday, February 21.

In addition to oil production, gas production increases also make a major contribution to revenue.

Prabumulih Field Senior Manager, Muhammad Luthfi Ferdiansyah, revealed that PEP Prabumulih's gas production in early 2024 was at 100 MMScfd and increased to 118 MMScfd at the end of the year.

"The largest oil production in 2024 comes from being able to maintain a baseline decline of 15 percent and the success of drilling on Mount Kemala (GNK) and Lembak (LBK), while the largest gas production comes from the development of the Prabuwang area (PMN)," he added.

This success helped Prabumulih Field to win an award at the Production Summit which was held in February 2025.

This award is given as a form of appreciation for the achievements that support the commitment of all PEP working areas in increasing synergy and operational performance.

PEP Prabumulih operates under the auspices of Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) Regional Sumatra Zone 4, which is part of Pertamina's Upstream Subholding. Its operations are directly supervised by SKK Migas Representative for Southern Sumatra (Sumbagsel).
