JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, highlighted the condition of densely populated settlements in slum conditions in the capital. In fact, there are still slum villages near the State Palace.

This was responded to by the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono. Heru admitted that he would check the locations referred to as slum villages and arrange them.

"We'll see, we'll arrange it," said Heru at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, March 20.

In the opening of the Central Jakarta Development Plan Deliberation (Musrenbang) on Thursday, March 16, Prasetio Edi Marsudi asked the DKI Provincial Government to immediately intervene to overcome the slum problems in the capital city.

The most highlighted by Prasetyo is the densely populated area in Johar Baru District and Tanah Tinggi Village, Central Jakarta, which is not far from the State Palace.

"This is very important a problem in Central Jakarta because there is still one kilometer from the Palace which is a slum area. In Johar Baru, Tanah Tinggi, we ask for this to be considered. Go there (see directly), to do something," said Prasetyo.

Prasetyo was also worried about the health of residents living in the Densely populated settlements. Because he admitted that he had complaints from residents who had difficulty resting because of limited housing.

"The condition of the settlement in Johar Baru, Tanah Tinggi can be three sleep shifts, because there the poverty can be seen," he said.

In the activity of the Central Jakarta musrenbang, the Central Jakarta City Government has received 1,059 proposal programs from the Musrenbang sub-district and sub-district level which will be combed again to be used as a priority program in 2024. Next year's priority programs are flood prevention, stunting reduction, creative economy development, poverty reduction, and regional arrangement.
