Fahri Hamzah Sindir Member Of The DPR Becomes The Distributor Of Social Assistance

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Gelora Party, Fahri Hamzah insinuated members of the DPR who were the distributors of social assistance (bansos) rather than carrying out their main duties and functions as government supervisors.

"In fact, they are the distributors of social assistance. It is not the duty of council members. The work of council members is high, he is given protection given the right of immunity. Pay is given protocol to be equal to the government so that he can supervise," said Fahri Hamzah while accompanying the visit of the General Chairperson of the Gelora Party, Anis Matta in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Saturday, quoted by Antara.

He regretted the lax supervision of the DPR on government performances.

"Well, the people are told to take care of us. It's good. Yes, eating blind salaries is not true. In the end, everything will not be monitored. That's all because there is no board supervision," he said.

In addition, the former Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives also satirized officials whose lifestyle was luxurious.

"How can an official whose lifestyle is strange. Have a car of all kinds and be exhibited again. Why, because there is no supervision," said Fahri Hamzah.

"Then the people continue to monitor and continue to be angry. We are not told to fight, he is sleeping. It's not good, right," he said.

He stated that in a developed democracy the people had finished sleeping, because there were guards.

"Well that's what we chose to supervise. We weren't told to fight with him to sleep. It's not good, it's okay. I think, so he just sleeps again," said Fahri Hamzah.

According to Fahri Hamzah, members of the DPR were not asked to come and go. However, the existence of the people's representatives is nothing but to carry out surveillance.

"NTB has representatives of council members. Tomorrow tomorrow we will travel around fierce people there, not told to sleep and bribe the people with social assistance. Indeed, he is a handyman who distributes social assistance, we will choose him. If he is the distributor of social assistance, why should we choose him to be a member of the council. For what reason do you have the right to immunity if you want to be the distributor of social assistance," he said.
