SEMARANG - Governor Ganjar Pranowo's concern for athletes in Central Java is realized by launching the Achievement Sports Information System (Sakti). This application accommodates all sports information and data from athletes in Central Java.

The Sakti was launched simultaneously with the logo and mascot of the Central Java Porprov to XVI in 2023, at the Gradhika Bhakti Praja Building, Friday 17 March. The annual event will take place in August in Pati Raya.

"If the logo is the same mascot, we just have to run it, later Porprov in Pati. But if this Sakti is indeed I ask that there be an information system about athletes," said Ganjar after the event.

Si Sakti is an application created by KONI Central Java to respond to Ganjar's desire to pay more attention to the athletes. Starting from coaching, development, to the future.

In the Si Sakti application, loading and publishing data on athletes and their achievements in the national sports arena. Ganjar encouraged the match logs played by the athletes to be fully recorded.

"So we want all of our athletes to be recorded, the talent scouting is done which is a student, he is from campus, from the community it can be recorded so that we log or record all matches," he said.

Ganjar Pranowo, who also serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Special Olympics Indonesia (SOIna), hopes that the database recorded in the Sakti will make it easier for Central Java to monitor the condition of its athletes.

"If later there is a match, we hope that they will be fit and can be chosen with that system and who has the ability or potential for us to develop it, we will develop it," he said.

On that occasion, Ganjar also invited universities to be involved. Not only the development and development of athletes, but also assistance to the Si Sakti application.

"Hopefully this system can run well later, but we ask the campus to accompany or which groups care that we can to assist them (athletes)," he said.

Through the athlete data bank, Ganjar hopes that in the future there will be no more stories of Central Java athletes whose fate is adrift.

"Until when they are finished, they want to retire, where are they. Don't let us hear the medal be pawned, then life is difficult even though he won a gold medal that once made the name of the region or nation proud. I think it needs to be considered, now we hope this system can monitor," said Ganjar.

When asked that many Central Java athletes had moved or chose to transfer to other provinces, Ganjar hoped that through this existing system they could be recorded and the cause could be known, so that it became material for correction.

"If then we can find out we can try to communicate, it's a system that will also be important later on what it's called so that we can find out, so we can make corrections to those attitudes but while still in Indonesia yo rapopo," he said.

On that occasion, Ganjar 450 athletes and 113 trainers of the Regional Training Center (Pelatda) to take part in mental development (Character building) at the Main Regiment of Kodam IV/Diponegoro (Rindam IV) Jl Pahlawan 133 Magelang City.

In addition, Ganjar also witnessed the signing of the Mutual of Understanding (MoU) between the General Chairperson of the Central Java KONI Bona Ventura Sulistiana and seven rectors of universities in Central Java.

Namely the Chancellor of Semarang State University (Unnes), Semarang University (USM), Catholic University (Unika) Sugijapranata Semarang, Dian Nuswantoro Semarang University (Udinus), Wahid Hasyim University (Unwahas) Semarang, and Stikubank University (Unisbank) Semarang.

Ganjar Pranowo hopes that in collaboration with PTN/PTS in Central Java, it will be carried out in order to distribute the education of athletes and former Central Java athletes, so that the future is more secure.
