The Ministry Of Finance Continues To Cooperate With PPATK In Maintaining Employee Integrity And Optimizing State Revenue

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) has continued to strengthen cooperation with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) since 2007 regarding the assets reports of the Ministry of Finance. Deputy Minister of Finance (Wamenkeu) Suahasil Nazara said the cooperation was one of the Ministry of Finance's commitments in maintaining the integrity of all employees.

According to Suahasil, the Ministry of Finance's collaboration with PPATK has two streams. The first stream, the Ministry of Finance always asks PPATK to provide information about employees who are in the process of promotion, transfer, and reports of alleged fraud. Cooperation with PPATK regarding this has been carried out continuously since 2007 in the form of transaction details and financial analysis.

"Since 2007 until now, there have been 266 exchanges of reports submitted by PPATK to us and those requested by the Ministry of Finance to PPATK," said Suahasil, in an official statement in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, in the second stream, PPATK connects and cooperates directly with the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance and the Directorate General of Customs and Excise in order to optimize security and ensure the rights of state revenues.

Suahasil said that the second stream is closely related to taxpayers, taxpayers, or parties who pay taxes or customs revenue duties to the state. The Ministry of Finance through the second stream cooperation has succeeded in restoring and asking for a payment of Rp7.08 trillion, so that it is a form of enforcing the Ministry of Finance's regulations through customs and taxes.

"We also appreciate this collaboration with PPATK and of course we will continue," said Suahasil in an official statement in Jakarta on Saturday, March 11.
