JAKARTA - Minister of Defense (Mentahan) Prabowo Subianto and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, were seen familiar when accompanying President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to inspect the harvest season in Lejer Village, Ambal District, Kebumen, Thursday, March 9. The reason is because Prabowo has experienced running twice for the presidential candidate. Meanwhile, Ganjar has never at all. "Pak Prabowo has experience as a presidential candidate. So, the ideal construction could be Prabowo side by side with Ganjar. This means that Prabowo is the presidential candidate and Ganjar is the vice presidential candidate," said Ujang in Jakarta, Thursday, March 9. On that basis, Ujang said, Ganjar should be a companion or vice presidential candidate with Prabowo. Moreover, the electability of the two also dominated the survey results. "Good, positive and just being rational. Because the survey also says that Prabowo-Ganjar and Anies are always in the top three," he said. Looking at several existing surveys, continued Ujang, Prabowo-Ganjar looks the most powerful and suitable to be able to compete with a number of other presidential and vice presidential candidates. This, he said, would be an advantage if Prabowo became the presidential candidate and Ganjar was the vice presidential candidate. Moreover, said Ujang, in the "debut" Prabowo-Ganjar appeared together at Kebumen, there was Jokowi who was also close to the two figures. In addition, on several occasions Jokowi also seemed to indicate special support that 2024 was Prabowo's turn to become president. "In the context of Jokowi's blessing, we know that Pak Prabowo is close to Jokowi, currently as Minister of Defense, meaning that he is Mr. Jokowi's assistant in the government.
