JAKARTA - The trial of the case of alleged gratification in the processing of a fatwa from the Supreme Court (MA) with the defendant Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari is almost at its final stage. This is because the prosecutor will read out the charges on the alleged criminal act committed by Pinangki.

However, it is not yet known what charges the prosecutor will make against Pinangki. Because, later it will be read out in court.

However, in the previous trial, Pinangki had asked the panel of judges and prosecutors to lighten the sentence that would be imposed on him.

To the prosecutor, Pinangki asked for the prison charges that would be given to him not too long. The reason is that he has a child who is 4 years old, so he still needs love from a mother.

In addition, Pinangki also asked the panel of judges to decide on a light sentence for him. Pinangki also promised not to repeat his actions.

"I ask the public prosecutor to make his demands merciful. And ask for mercy that starts so that he can decide on mercy, my child is still 4 years old, my father is sick. I am sorry. I promise I will not come near again," he said.

In fact, Pinangki also said he was very sorry for all his actions. Because, we can be sure that he will lose his job because he will definitely be fired from the Adhyaksa Corps.

"Destroyed the job, the AGO when it is (involved in the case) will be fired, Your Honor," said Pinangki in a trial at the Corruption Court, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, January 6.

Apart from the charges, during the trial process many new facts emerged in this case. For example, Pinangki was introduced to Joko Tjandra as a person close to the 'Boss of the Prosecutors' by Rahmat.

The initial introduction was revealed after the head judge at trial, Muhammad Damis, questioned Rahmat about the introductions of Pinangki and Joko Tjandra.

At the beginning of his statement, Rahmat always said that it was Piangki who forced him to introduce Joko Tjandra. But it immediately changed after Damis read the contents of the Investigation Report (BAP).

"About a week later, I called Joko Tjandra and said that Doctor Pinangki might be able to help solve the problems faced by Joko Tjandra. Apart from that, I also sent a photo of Doctor Pinangki to the defendant. At that time Joko Tjandra asked who Pianangki was, I said the prosecutor wanted I know you, "said Damis when reading the BAP

"That's not your answer," continued Damis.

Until finally, in the BAP read out by Judge Damis, it was found that Rahmat said that Pinangki was a close friend of the Attorney General's office. So that it is considered to be able to help solve Joko Tjandra's problems.

"And I answered, that's someone who is close to the bosses of the AGO. Is that what you said?" asked judge Damis

In the end, Rahmat, who could not speak much, admitted that all the contents of the BAP that were read out were the truth.

"Yes," said Rahmat.

During the trial, it was also revealed that Pinangki had informed the AGO about Joko Tjandra's whereabouts. This information was conveyed to Aryo, who is the Head of the Directorate of Execution and Examination (Uheksi) Legal Efforts in November 2019.

In fact, Pinangki claimed that all the information he knew about Joko Tjandra had been conveyed. Including some supporting evidence regarding the whereabouts of the fugitive Bank Bali claim rights case.

"So I will tell you that in November, I will show the photos to Aryo to the Head of Uheksi," said Pinangki.

In addition, Pinangki also said that the delivery of information about Joko Tjandra had indeed been planned by him from the start. In the legal process, the attempt to execute someone must go through the Uhection Directorate.

"That's the plan why I conveyed it to Aryo because it was the original plan, even if the execution was carried out, the execution had to go through him because I don't know who the execution usually goes through," said Pinangki.

But during the trial process, Pinangki also frequently denied involvement in the case. For example, about the action plan. Pinangki said he received an action plan document related to Joko Tjandra from Andi Irfan Jaya. The action plan document was sent via the WhatsApp short message application around February 2020.

"In February I was forwarded, whether it was the same document or not I forgot by Andi Irfan it was forwarded to me in February," said Pinangki.

After receiving the action plan, Pinangki immediately sent it to Anita Kolopaking, who had been Joko Tjandra's lawyer. Pinangki admitted that he only found out that the document contained an action plan after Anita explained it.

"Anita said this (document) was said to be an action plan that Joko Tjandra rejected in December. So at that time we discussed the December rejection but I did not read the details," said Pinangki.

For your information, Pinangki was charged with three counts, namely the first charge of receiving a bribe of US $ 500,000 (around Rp7.4 billion) from the convicted Bank Bali cessie case Djoko Soegiarto Tjandra.

Second, the money laundering charges originating from the receipt of bribes amounting to 444,900 dollars or around Rp. 6,219,380,900.00 as money given by Djoko Tjandra for processing fatwas to the Supreme Court.

Third, Pinangki was charged with committing an evil conspiracy with Andi Irfan Jaya and Djoko Tjandra to bribe officials at the AGO and MA worth US $ 10 million.
