PURBALINGGA - Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) The Purbalingga Police Satreskrim managed to uncover a case of forced violence against minors. The suspect was arrested along with the evidence.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Purbalingga Police, AKP Suyanto, revealed that the victim was a six-year-old girl.

"The suspect who was arrested with the initials MS (24) is a male resident of Kaligondang District, Purbalingga Regency. The suspect is the girlfriend of the victim's mother," explained the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit in a written statement, Tuesday, March 7.

It was said that the incident began when the suspect came to his girlfriend's house, the victim's mother, in the Purbalingga District. Then the suspect asked for sex but was rejected by the victim's mother. Therefore, the suspect then vented his lust on his girlfriend's son.

"The suspect carried out his actions four times on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 15.00 WIB. Then Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 15.00 WIB, Wednesday, February 15, 2203 at 15.00 WIB and Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 18.30 WIB," he said.

It was explained that the disclosure of the case began when there was a report from the victim's family. Then the Purbalingga Police Satreskrim PPA Unit conducted an examination of witnesses, conducted a post-mortem and conducted an investigation. The suspect was arrested on Monday, February 27 at his home.

Kasat Reskrim added that the suspect was subject to Article 81 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 179 of 2016 concerning the stipulation of Perpu Number 1 of 2016 concerning the second Amendment to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection and or Article 287 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 64 of the Criminal Code.

"The threat of punishment for this article is a minimum imprisonment of 5 years and a maximum of 15 years," he said.
