Former British PM Tony Blair Meets Jokowi Today, Discuss IKN?

JAKARTA - Former British Prime Minister (PM) Tony Blair arrived at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, at around 12.17 WIB. It is known that Tony is the Advisory Council of the Capital Archipelago (IKN).

Blair was seen wearing a mask and wearing a blue complete suit. He immediately walked into the Palace and entered through the door adjacent to the State Palace.

Blair only replied to reporters' greeting with a wave of hands. Until now, it is not known exactly what agenda Tony Blair will carry out.

On October 19, 2022, Tony Blair also met with President Joko Widodo at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta. During the meeting, Jokowi was accompanied by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan.

At that time, Luhut explained that the meeting between Jokowi and Tony Blair discussed plans to move the new capital city now called the capital city of Nusantara. Jokowi asked Tony Blair to participate in the agenda of moving the capital city of Indonesia by helping promote it to the international world.

Tony Blair is included in the Advisory Council of the Capital Archipelago (IKN).

"The president asked Tony Blair, and Tony Blair to happen to offer himself as well to help promote the new capital city internationally," Luhut said at the time.

Tony Blair also conveyed a number of ideas regarding promotional strategies that the Indonesian government can carry out.

According to Blair, the Indonesian government can promote to several other countries, such as the governments of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and China, as well as a number of foreign companies in the Asian region to invest in IKN.

"The thought of Mr. Tony Blair, a businessman from the Government, means from the United Arab Emirates with China, then Saudi with Korea, is a joint company," said Luhut.
