JAKARTA - The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, asked the government to immediately take steps to suppress the increase in the price of basic necessities before entering the month of Ramadan. This was conveyed by Puan when checking the prices of basic necessities ahead of Ramadan at the Cihapit Market in Bandung, West Java, Monday, March 6. "The government must prepare an instrument so that prices remain stable ahead of Ramadan. Stabilize prices with market operations, stock management, and smooth distribution so that prices are stable," said Puan in a written statement. According to her, the government needs to prepare instruments to stabilize prices for basic necessities to suppress inflation.. "Thus, our brothers and sisters can perform fasting in the month of Ramadan in a conducive atmosphere," she continued. Before going around checking the prices of basic necessities, Puan first had breakfast at Bu Eha's Warung which is in Citapit Market. The stall, which was established in 1947, he said, was often a subscription to his family's place to eat.
