250 Stunting Patients In Mukomuko Bengkulu Will Receive Social Assistance Of IDR 150,000 In 4 Months

MUKOMUKO - The Mukomuko Regency Social Service, Bengkulu, noted that as many as 250 stunting sufferers in this area received social assistance in the form of direct cash assistance from the local government.

"Each sufferer of stunting will receive assistance of IDR 150,000 per month for four consecutive months," said the Head of Social Empowerment and the Poor at the Mukomuko Regency Social Service, Ummul Husnun, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, March 6.

This year, the Mukomuko Regency Government has allocated IDR 150 million in direct cash assistance or BLT for as many as 250 stunting sufferers across the area.

She said her agency was currently drafting a legal umbrella in the form of a district head's regulation governing direct cash assistance for stunting sufferers.

In addition, she said, her party asked the village to complete the required documents for each potential recipient of direct cash assistance from the local government.

"We asked the village to make complete data on its residents to be proposed as potential recipients of direct cash assistance from the local government," she said.

She said her agency obtained data on 250 stunting sufferers from the local Health Service and the Health Office obtained the data from an integrated service post in this area.

Her agency followed up data on stunting sufferers from the Health Service to a number of villages, then villages that recorded their citizens suffering from stunting.

Meanwhile, the distribution of direct cash assistance to sufferers of stunting within this year, and at the latest, this assistance will be distributed in September 2023.

Meanwhile, she said, the local government is preparing direct cash assistance funds this year so residents can buy various basic needs to improve the nutrition of stunting sufferers.

Apart from that, the local government also provides direct cash assistance and carries out additional feeding activities at integrated service posts spread across this area.
