JAKARTA - The General Elections Commission (KPU) has confirmed that the progress of checking and research (Coklit) carried out by voter data updating officers (Pantarlih) in several regions has reached almost 100 percent.

KPU is optimistic that the 2024 election stages, which have been implemented since February 12, will be completed according to the target on March 14.

"So far, there have been a number of areas where the coverage has reached 70-80 percent," said RI KPU Member Betty Epsilon Idroos in her statement, Sunday, March 5.

According to Betty, so far the checking and research process has not experienced any problems. Therefore, she ensured that all data-updating officers on duty could maximize their duties in the remaining time until March 14.

"We haven't received any news that the problems in the field have no solution, everything has a solution. If we personally thank the data-updating officers, it is very extraordinary in the field when doing checking and research," she said.

Apart from carrying out co-coaching, Betty added, data-updating officers also held discussions to evaluate and convey the progress of her co-coaching work in the field every 10 days.

"We have a mechanism where PPS gathers data-updating officers for discussion, small meetings like that, yes, to talk about how far the coklit has been carried out, visiting anyone's house every day, what are the obstacles," explained Betty.
