Refugees Of Elderly Victims Of The Pertamina Plumpang Depot Fire Really Need This Item

JAKARTA - The victims of the Pertamina Plumpang depot fire really expect help. The North Jakarta Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) team also said that there were items that were needed by elderly refugees.

Based on their data, diapers are items that are really needed by the elderly.

"Finally, according to data from friends who conduct assessments in the field, the current need is diapers for the elderly," said Head of North Jakarta PMI Disaster Management (Jakut) Hery Asmedi at PMI Jakut Headquarters in Tugu Selatan, Koja, Saturday

As reported by Antara, Saturday, March 4, Hery said, the need for diapers had been asked by elderly refugees at three refugee posts. He estimates that the needs reach 200 diapers of various sizes from M, L, and XL.

Other needs such as blankets, baby diapers, toddler food, adult food, drinks, medicines and portable toilets also need to be provided. PMI North Jakarta has coordinated with the relevant service tribe to meet these needs.

Meanwhile, logistical assistance has been included in several North Jakarta PMIs, including those recorded from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Disaster Management Agency (sakabun bar as many as five krat, wipol five krat, hand sanitizer five krat and mask 20 boxes).

Furthermore, 98 boxes of ready-to-eat food and 48 boxes of mineral water from the Goods Movement Foundation, as well as 200 pcs of diapers and decent clothes with one bag from residents' donors.

The North Jakarta Sub-dept. Disaster Preparedness Social Officer provided 275 packages of ready-to-eat food, three boxes of bread, five boxes of glass and five boxes of bottled water, 29 boxes of food and two pcs of tissue from residents donors.

Then three bags of baby clothes, one bag of adult clothes from residents' donors, 400 glasses of mineral water and bread in the name of Nungki's mother. Rice packages (15 boxes) of bread (20 pcs), 25 packages of fried rice, one box of mineral water from SMP Fikri.

Furthermore, rice is two sacks filled with 50 kilograms from the Islamic Association (Persis) of North Jakarta. One carton contains 144 cups of mineral water in the name of Juhana, and a bottle of mineral water contains 1.5 liters of 50 cartons from PT Kencana Megah Logistics. Children's clothes and adult clothes are one bag each of the residents' donors.

The assistance was distributed by PMI North Jakarta to Plumpang fire victims, through a number of partners including the Koja District Health Center, PPNI Cilincing DPK, PPNI Coppena, DPD one of the North Jakarta parties, Tanah Abang Hospital, Workers' Hospital and PMI Friends.

Refugee posts include in Rawa Badak Selatan Village, South Tugu, Rawa Badak Stadium, RPTRA Rawa Badak Selatan, Manpower and Transmigration and Energy Office

In addition, at the Golkar DPD Office, Al Kuramaa Mosque, Al Muhajirin Mosque, and Gema Insani Integrated Islamic Elementary School. The total number of refugees is approximately 600 people.
