Ministry Of SOEs: Pertamina That Is Responsible For The Cost Of Treating Fire Victims

The Ministry of SOEs said Pertamina was ready to bear the costs of treating victims of the Pertamina pipeline burning incident in Koja, North Jakarta.

"Yes, Pertamina will bear the costs," said Special Staff III of the Minister of SOEs, Arya Sinulingga when contacted in Jakarta, Saturday, March 4, as reported by Antara.

The Ministry of SOEs has also asked Pertamina to focus on saving the community and employees at the location around the fire.

"The most important thing at this time is first handling," he said.

Previously, SOE Minister Erick Thohir was ready to oversee the investigation and evaluation of the incident of the burning of the Pertamina pipeline in Koja, North Jakarta on Friday (3/3) night.

Erick Thohir ordered Pertamina to immediately thoroughly investigate the case.

He also asked Pertamina to focus on saving the community as well as conducting operational evaluations.

Erick also expressed his deepest condolences and condolences to the victim and his family who were affected by the burning incident of the Pertamina pipeline in Koja, North Jakarta.

Pertamina has coordinated with various parties to evacuate residents and workers around the Fuel Oil Terminal (BBM) in Plumpang, North Jakarta to suppress the impact of pipe fires.

Unit Manager Communication Relations and CSR Pertamina Marketing Operation Region (MOR) III Eko Kristiawan said the fire occurred in the fuel receipt pipeline at the Jakarta Fuel Integrated Terminal, Plumpang. Pertamina MOR III covers the DKI Jakarta, Banten, and West Java areas.

In addition to causing eight people to still be declared missing, the fuel oil pipeline fire also killed 13 people and 49 people suffered burns. The death toll was at the Police Hospital, while the burns were in a number of hospitals, including the Port Hospital, Tugu Koja Hospital, Mulyasari Hospital, and Koja Hospital.
