KPAI Monitors AG's Legal Process: Don't Be Contrary To The Child Protection System

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) conducted monitoring of a child with a legal conflict with the initials AG after being named a perpetrator in a case of persecution with suspects Mario Dandy Satrio and Shane against David Ozora.

"We continue to monitor, this police force is already working. We are all monitoring how the next steps are. Respect also the rights of AG children in accordance with the juvenile criminal justice system and child protection," said KPAI Chairman Ai Maryati Solihah when contacted by VOI, Friday, March 3.

KPAI also respects the legal process that is rolling in with the police. KPAI supports police investigations in cases of violence involving the child.

"The police must respect and ensure child protection. Because this situation makes children's growth and development not go well and their education must remain," he said.

The legal process that is carried out, he continued, must not conflict with the principle of child protection.

"So that's what we are monitoring, so that it is in line with the law," he said.

Previously, the Director of General Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Hengki Haryadi, said that the status of AG, a female friend of the perpetrator of the persecution of David, Mario Dandy, had been upgraded.

"There has been a change in the status of AG, which initially was that children who were in conflict with the law changed to or increased their status to become children who were in conflict with the law or in other words changed to become perpetrators," said Hengki at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Thursday, March 2.
