JAKARTA - The charismatic cleric of Lebak Regency, Banten Province, KH Hasan Basri, said that the use of the vaccine produced by Sinovac in China is not a problem as long as it is beneficial for mankind.

Reported by Antara, Hasan Basri supports the use of the COVID-19 vaccine to take preventive or preventive measures so that it does not spread. Moreover, the vaccine is safe and does not cause side effects after being injected into the public.

"We hope that Indonesia can be free from this deadly disease," said the head of the Nurul Hasanah Islamic Boarding School, Rangkasbitung, Lebak Regency in Lebak, Friday, January 8.

Humans, he said, must try to take precautions so that they are not attacked by this dangerous and deadly disease. Previously, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) through the results of the MUI Fatwa Commission hearing stated that the COVID-19 vaccine was holy and halal.

"We support the use of vaccines if they provide benefits to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic," said a member of the Banten MUI Fatwa Commission.

Secretary of the Lebak Regency Health Office, Agus Darsono, said that his party asked the Ministry of Health to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine gradually, due to limited storage warehouses.

If the distribution of vaccines is carried out simultaneously, it will certainly be difficult, both in terms of acceptance and storage capacity.

According to him, the vaccine 'ration' for Lebak Regency is still being calculated and the amount is not yet certain.

"We hope that in the future all citizens will be able to receive vaccines from Chinese products so that Lebak is free from the threat of COVID-19 transmission," said Agus Darsono.
