National Police Chief: "PR" With The National Police Can Immediately Reborn To Restore Public Trust

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Pol. Gen. Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo instructed all his staff to improve public services in order to restore public trust in the Police.

This was conveyed by the National Police Chief on the sidelines of the handover of positions (sertijab) of the National Police's General Supervision Inspectorate (Irwasum) from Komjen Pol Agung Budi Maryoto to Komjen Pol Ahmad Dofiri at Rupatama Building, Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Tuesday 28 February.

"I think this is a 'PR' that must continue to be done together. So hopefully the Police can immediately return to restore public trust," said Sigit, confiscated by Antara.

According to him, Polri personnel must do positive things to improve the quality of public services, in the hope of being able to increase public trust in the Bhayangkara Corps.

"Especially because the National Police is currently facing a situation where of course all colleagues know that the Police are faced with dynamics that reduce the level of public trust and at this time of course the Police must all be solid, cooperation, and hard work to restore public trust," he said.

In addition to improving the quality of police services, another step that needs to be taken by the National Police in restoring public trust is to go down directly to answer problems that occur in the community.

Respond quickly to all people who need the presence of the police in order to get justice.

"And this must certainly be inflamed," said Sigit.

The four-star general added that regaining the level of public trust is important for the Police in the future to strengthen in order to oversee and face all national and international agendas. What's more, in terms of preparation for securing the 2024 simultaneous election stages.

"Because in the future we have entered the stage of the election, which of course the public needs extraordinary effort from the National Police institution. The key to public trust must be achieved again," he concluded.
