Cornered On Social Media, AG's Attorney Asks The Public To Provide Space To Reveal Facts

JAKARTA - The face of the attorney for witness AG, Mangata Toding Allo, looked strong when asked a number of questions from media crews at the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) Office, Menteng Area, Central Jakarta on Tuesday, February 28. He only explained that he had come to KPAI regarding his reporting.

"This meeting was a follow-up to our letter on February 24 (February) yesterday to ask for supervision and protection from witness AG child," Mangata told reporters at KPAI, Tuesday, February 28, afternoon.

Even so, Mangata was reluctant to comment much on the questions the media crew asked him. Mangata only answered regarding the arrival of himself and AG's family to KPAI.

"We hope that KPAI can assist and supervise the witness of AG's child in the investigation process or the judicial process in the future," he said.

He also hopes that the public will give witness AG children the opportunity to get the same place and right to reveal the facts together.

"Give us the same space and position for us to reveal the facts according to the BAP that were examined and according to the available evidence," he said.

It is known, the initials AG had become a trending topic on social media because the underage woman was said to be the cause of David's coma. Therefore, to protect AG's rights and future, his attorney asked the public to provide space to explain what happened.

Previously, the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) had received a report from a lawyer from witness AG, Mangata Toding Allo on Tuesday, February 28, noon. However, KPAI has not explained in detail the contents of the report.

"This morning we received a legal handling team from AG's (witnesses) child regarding the case experienced by AG. Complaints have been received. We have received information from AG's attorney," said KPAI Sub-Commissioner, Dian Sasmita to VOI at the KPAI Office, Menteng, Central Jakarta.
