JAKARTA - PT MRT Jakarta is continuing construction work on the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Phase 2 CP202 on Gajah Mada Street and Hayam Wuruk Street, Central Jakarta. In this regard, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency is conducting traffic engineering along the two roads.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, explained that the traffic diversion construction work will start from 28 February to 27 September 2023.

Meanwhile, road narrowing on April 10-July 1 2023, Gajah Mada Street will become 2 lanes of mixed traffic and Hayam Wuruk will become 2 lanes of mixed traffic.

Syafrin said there was an intersection that was closed until 2027, namely the Sukarjo Wiryopranoto Street- Zainul Arifin Street- Gajah Mada Street- Hayam Wuruk Street.

Traffic from Sukarjo Wiryopranoto Street, which was originally able to go straight (towards Zainul Arifin Street) and turn right (towards Batavia), is diverted to turn left, turn around in front of Dunkin Donuts, turn left onto Zainul Arifin Street, go straight towards Batavia.

Traffic from Harmoni, which originally turned around (South-South), was diverted to turn around at the Mangga Besar/Olimo Street intersection. Traffic from Batavia which was originally turning back (north-north) was diverted to turn around in front of Dunkin Donuts.
