The high rainfall in the Bogor area caused the water level (TMA) of the Ciliwung River to overflow to 100 centimeters (cm) or within the Alert 3 status of Jakarta floods. It is estimated that the water will enter Jakarta on Monday, February 27 morning.

Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds that flushed Bogor evenly since 15.30 WIB, Sunday, February 26, caused the water level in the Ciliwung River to rise to Alert 3 for Jakarta floods.

"He is currently in a Alert 3 position for Jakarta floods," said the head of the Katulampa Dam supervisor, Andi Sudirman, confirming on Sunday night.

Based on data from the Katulampa Dam Post, the increase in the Ciliwung River flow was quite drastic in tens of minutes.

He said, on Tuesday afternoon, TMA Ciliwung in Katulampa Dam was still in normal condition TMA 50 cm (normal) and lasted until 20.00 WIB. An hour later, TMA 60 cm in Alert 4 position, at 22.00 it rose to 80 cm and at 22.00 WIB, Bandung Katulmapa rose to 100 cm or in Alert 3 Jakarta Flood status.

Andi estimates that TMA Ciliwung will still rise, considering that the rainfall is still high upstream of Ciliwung in Puncak, Cisarua.

"It is estimated that in about 10 to 12 hours, the Ciliwung flow will arrive downstream in Jakarta and its surroundings or Monday morning," said Andi.

For this reason, he also appealed to the people along the banks and downstream rivers in the Jakarta area to remain vigilant.

As of 23.00 WIB, heavy rain is still ongoing in Bogor City. BMKG predicts heavy rain will continue until Monday, February 27 in the morning.

Meanwhile, Panus Water Gate, Depok is still normal below 120 cm. Likewise, Manggarai Water Gate is reported to have no increase in water discharge, 615 cm or still in normal position.
