JAKARTA - The process of evacuating the Polairud Polda Jambi helicopter crew was continued on the third day. Today, the SAR team deployed 6 helicopters, focused on evacuating the Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Rusdi Hartono and seven other people who made an emergency landing on Tamiai Hill, Kerinci Regency.

"Heli will be moved to the location, there will be 4 units including AW 189, Bell 429, Super Puma, and Dauphin belonging to Basarnas to the nearest post which will later be continued using 2 helicopters belonging to PT Rayamas and BNPB to Bhayangkara Jambi Hospital," said Head of the Jambi Basarnas Office, Kornelis in his statement, Tuesday, February 21.

Kornelis revealed that the deployment of this helicopter was based on a meeting to prepare for the third day of the evacuation process which was carried out last night.

"We pray that the weather today is friendly and we can evacuate all crew members who are still in the location immediately," he said.

Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Rusdi Hartono and his entourage experienced a terrible incident. The helicopter they were traveling in lost contact on Sunday, February 19.

A total of 8 people were victims. Apart from that, the Regional Police Chief also has several Jambi Regional Police officials and helicopter crews. From the information, Inspector General Rusdi Hartono was seriously injured. His right arm was broken due to the incident.

The evacuation process for the Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Rusdi Hartono and seven other people was stopped on the second day Monday, February 20. The reason is that the weather has not improved so that it can endanger the rescue team if forced.

"Yes, it is stopped because the weather is not possible and the plan will continue tomorrow morning," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Monday, February 20.

With this decision, Inspector General Rusdi Hartono, who suffered serious injuries to his hand, had to stay in Kerinci's hilly forest. Meanwhile, members of the evacuation team who are already in the location such as doctors will ensure the condition of all victims is stable.
