Trump Supporters Worst Raid Of The Capitol Building After The British Offensive Of 1814

JAKARTA - Unrest occurred in the Capitol Hill Building, as a result of Donald Trump's supporters who were disappointed over the defeat of their champion to President-elect Joe Biden, Wednesday, January 6 local time.

This caused the US Congress to discuss the determination of the results of the US Presidential Election to be stopped and resumed a few moments later after the situation was under control.

It took at least four hours for the police and military to be deployed to secure the mass action inside the Capitol Hill Congress building. Senate members who were trapped inside also tried to secure the presidential election results from mass looting.

Thousands of security forces were deployed to control this condition, including the DC Police, National Guard Forces, the FBI to the Secret Service. Several security officers were injured. Meanwhile, from the protesters, there were casualties and injuries.

The US Capitol Historical Society calls this Trump supporter the most destructive of the iconic building since the British Army burned it down in 1814.

Burning of Washington

The invasion of British Soldiers referred to as the US Capitol Historical Soceity is an event known as The Burning of Washington. This is part of the invasion by the British to the City of Washington (now Washington DC) in 1812.

One of the epic of this invasion was the Bladensburg War on August 24, 1814. After defeating America, British troops led by Major General Robert Ross burned several government and military buildings.

This includes the White House (US Presidential Palace) and Gadung Capitol Hill and a number of other buildings. This is retaliation for the destruction of Port Dover in Canada by America.

"The Burning of Washington" marks the only time the Capitol Building has been invaded and damaged since the American Revolutionary War. Until the events of January 6, 2021, when Donald Trump's supporters stormed Capitol Hill.
