The Thief Of Competing To Be A Buyer, Cigarette Gasak Worth IDR 1.5 Million, Victims Have Not Reported Police

JAKARTA - An earthquake-based woman who was caught on CCTV cameras carrying out a theft at a food shop on Marzuki 4, Milling, Cakung, East Jakarta was caught stealing 30 packs of cigarettes worth Rp. 1.5 million into her bag.

From Harjono's confession, the owner of the grocery store, the perpetrator took 30 packs of cigarettes. The mode is that he ordered cigarettes and then put them in a green plastic bag on the cashier's desk, when the seller was careless, the perpetrator put the cigarette into his bag.

"The loss is almost Rp. 1.5 million. The characteristics of the perpetrators are wearing red clothes, black pants and black shoes," Harjono told reporters, Monday, February 20.

He also recounted the beginning of the theft that happened to him. The mode he came to his shop early in the morning, which at that time was served by the victim's wife. However, the perpetrator was seen pretending to be shopping in large quantities beyond the usual buyers in general.

"Because spending is outside of people's habit of shopping, the short time is used as well as possible. He takes mineral water, food, pretends to buy to create an atmosphere so that people are confused, keep asking for cigarettes," he said.

The perpetrators also separated orders for cigarettes from other items that pretended to be purchased.

"He asked to separate, his plastic bag was diverted. We missed his plastic bag and then put it in his bag. He pretended to add groceries. After he finished he asked for more goods, he asked for cigarettes," explained Harjono, explaining the perpetrator's modus operandi trick.

Then when another buyer entered, the perpetrator quickly left the shop with 30 packs of cigarettes.

"He came out with a cigarette pack, so after 30 packs he ran away. Thank God we arrested my belongings against the perpetrator near Buaran Baru station," said the victim.

According to the victim, theft incidents in the area have often occurred. According to Harjono, shop owners in the area are also often targeted by victims of theft with the same mode.

Even so, until now the victim has not made a police report because his belongings have returned.

"If you hear the story after the incident, other shops came here, they were also the targets of theft," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the theft of cigarettes by pretending to be consumers at a grocery store occurred in the RT 05/17 area, Bridge Village, Milling, Cakung District, East Jakarta on Friday, February 17.

The crime was committed by a middle-aged woman wearing a pregnant body wearing red clothes entering a grocery store. He also pretended to order a number of groceries from the seller.
