Don't Be Careless, 7 Districts In Sleman Are Still Red Zone COVID-19

JAKARTA - There are at least seven sub-districts in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region that currently have the status of the COVID-19 red zone.

This number has decreased after previously all sub-districts in the local area had a red zone status, while 10 other sub-districts had orange zone status.

"Previously, at the end of November-December all 17 sub-districts in Sleman Regency had the status of the COVID-19 red zone," said Shavitri Nurmaladewi, spokesman for the Sleman Regency COVID-19 Task Force in Sleman, as reported by Antara, Thursday, January 7.

After Gamping and Tempel Districts in mid-December 2020 had the status of the orange zone, now based on the epidemiological data released by the Sleman Health Service on December 28, 2020, eight sub-districts have changed their status from the red zone to the orange zone.

"The eight sub-districts are Godean, Moyudan, Minggir, Seyegan, Depok, Berbah, Ngemplak, and Pakem. Meanwhile, the remaining seven districts still have red zone status," he said.

The epidemiological status of COVID-19 issued by the Sleman District Health Office is dynamic, and is published regularly.

"Until now, the Sleman Health Office has published epidemiological statuses 16 times," he said.

Shavitri said additional positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Sleman Regency in the first week of January 2021 were recorded, namely on January 3, there were 68 additional positive cases, 90 recovered cases and two died cases.

Then on January 4 there were an additional 50 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19, 58 cases recovered and one case died. On January 5, there were an additional 119 confirmed positive cases and 40 cases recovered and two cases died.

On Wednesday, January 6, there were 2 additional cases, 39 cases recovered and one case died.
