The Government Has Allocated Rp1,050 Billion To Change The Rage Of 105 Cows In Bogor Affected By The PMK Outbreak

BOGOR - The Bogor City Government (Pemkot) provided assistance worth IDR 1.050 billion for 38 breeders who have a total of 105 cows affected by the PMK outbreak. The assistance comes from the central government through the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan).

The assistance for Bogor City was symbolically handed over by the Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A. Rachim to farmers at the Bogor City Food and Agriculture Security Service (DKPP), Thursday, February 16.

"This assistance is a policy from the government related to the post-pandemic national economic recovery. So with difficult conditions, the government continues to pay attention to farmers, breeders. Especially dairy cows and beef cows, which some time ago had spread throughout Indonesia, especially in the Bogor City area," said Dedie, Friday, February 17.

Dedie detailed that this assistance was for 105 cows with a value of Rp. 10 million. This assistance, according to Dedie, is to trigger the enthusiasm of the breeders to continue to carry out their business in the midst of economic difficulties.

All farmers who received assistance, continued Dedie, were spread across several urban villages. Of course with several mechanisms, such as direct submissions from farmers, or verification results from DKPP.

"So the implementation of verification does take time, including when they are certified it takes time to open an account. We can only distribute the incident (PMK) last year. But it is part of the process and budget allocation from the central government to ensure that the data from farmers affected by our verification results is suitable," he explained.

In addition, learning from yesterday's handling of the PMK outbreak, that the distribution of livestock is dominated from outside Bogor. So, livestock that enter the city of Bogor should go through a strict process.

Especially from the health side of the livestock. Starting from the vaccination, to the certification of the livestock itself. Do not let livestock that enter the city of Bogor actually transmit disease to other livestock.

"How to carry out supervision at the cow producer's place, then the trip is processed, there are also some posts that ensure that cows entering Bogor are checked for validity of their letters," he explained.

Sekdis DKPP Kota Bogor, Wina menambahkan, penanganan kasus PMK di Kota Bogor menjadi salah satu alasan Kota Bogor menjadi prioritas dalam bantuan tersebut. Pasalnya, sejak kasus muncul pertama kali, hanya kurun tiga bulan, kasus kembali nol.

"The city of Bogor is one that is appreciated by ministries and provinces, because within three months the City of Bogor has completed the PMK in our physical report. Therefore, the City of Bogor can be prioritized to get assistance," added Wina.
