Speed Complaints, 1 More Machine Will Be Embeded In The Karimunjawa Ambulance

Residents of the Karimunjawa Islands in Jepara Regency hope that ambulance ships for health services will be supported by adequate machines so that they can move for rapid needs. The Central Java Provincial Health Office responded.

Head of Health Services at the Central Java Provincial Health Office, Irma Makiah, said that the ambulance ship is currently traveling at a speed of 5 knots so that one more engine will be embedded to increase speed.

"We have coordinated with the Jepara Regency Government to respond to complaints from Karimunjawa residents, especially regarding the increase in ambulance speed," said Irma in Semarang, Central Java, Friday, February 17.

He explained that the addition of the ambulance ship engine which is 10 meters long and 3 meters wide cannot be realized immediately, but is carried out in stages.

"For the addition of speed, it is given in stages, the plan is to add machinery for the budget for change or next year," he said.

Regarding the design of the ambulance ship, Irma said, it was in accordance with health service standards.

"This ship has been designed to be able to provide health services for patients in remote areas, especially in Karimunjawa," he said.

In addition, the height of the ship has also been designed according to the needs to make it easier for health workers to provide services for patients.

"That is standard for patient services from Karimunjawa to the islands there. For the height of the ship, it is easy for officers to serve patients," he said.

The ambulance, which is equipped with medical facilities and infrastructure such as oxygen cylinders, stethoscopes, defibrillators, ultrasound and ECG, has gone through a function test which has been proven to have sailed quite well and smoothly from Rembang Regency (where the ship was built) to Karimunjawa Islands. The ship is an aid from the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo.

"At that time (end of January 2023, ed.) the Head of the Karimunjawa Health Center received good conditions," he said.
