The Mukomuko Regency Government together with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry previously conducted a consistency test regarding the proposed reduction in CA status to TWA. The results of the consistency test in Jakarta on January 25, 2023, Team II of the Ministry of Environment agreed to recommend changing the status of CA to TWA covering an area of 51.02 hectares. Present at the consistency test were apart from the Head of the Mukomuko Regency Environment Agency, the Head of the Bengkulu Province Environment and Forestry Service and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. Although the status of the Mukomuko II CA area in this area has changed to TWA, the supervision of the area is still under the authority of the Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA).
