JAKARTA - The Indonesian Search and Rescue (INASAR) team found the bodies of 4 victims of the Turkish earthquake buried by debris in Pazarcik District, Kahramanras Province, Turkey on Monday, February 13, Turkish time. The victim was found dead.

The search for earthquake victims was carried out by the Inasar Team after receiving an assignment from the USAR Coordination Cell (UCC) post at the Hatay Expo to carry out a search at sectors X and Y.

The Alfa team with 15 members and 3 K-9 sniffer dogs moved by implementing a rescue radar (canine search and technical search) method around the ruins of the destroyed building. The Alfa team found no signs of life.

Towards the afternoon, the Alfa team received a return assignment to operate at worksite 17. At the previous time, the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team from Korea had also carried out operations in the work area, precisely since February 9.

According to information, there were 4 victims trapped in the rubble of the building and confirmed to be still alive. The Alfa team continued the search using the canine search and technical search method and was unable to find signs of life.

Furthermore, the search was carried out using heavy equipment excavators. After successfully dismantling the rubble of the building, the Inasar team found 4 victims dead.

"The four victims are in the same location. We evacuated the four bodies and we handed them over to the evacuation team from Turkey," said the head of the Inasar Team, Yopi Hariadi in an official statement received by VOI, Tuesday, February 14.

After evacuating the four victims, the Alfa Team returned to the UCC Hatay Command Post.

"The condition of the Inasar Team on this second day is in good health and prime condition and ready to continue the assignment - the next assignment," he said.
