BNPT Has Restrictions, Collaborating Many War Parties Total Against Radicalism

JAKARTA - Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT), Komjen Boy Rafli Amar, called on all parties to continue to fight radicalism and terrorism in the country.

"This is a war of totality facing the ideology of terrorism that certain groups or certain agencies cannot overcome, but we involve the entire community," said Boy Rafli Amar in Jakarta, Tuesday, February 14, as reported by Antara.

The three-star general said the call departed from the limitations faced by BNPT in the midst of various radicalization actions that developed in society.

BNPT continues to embrace various parties, both in the forum for the synergy team of ministries/agencies and the wider community by implementing the concept of multi-party cooperation (pentahelix) to prevent ideologies that are against the conception of the Indonesian nation.

The former Papuan and Banten Police Chiefs asked not to associate terrorism with certain religions. What happens is that terrorism networks often abuse narratives in religious terms to get the sympathy of the Indonesian people.

The graduate of the 1988 Police Academy (Akpol) said that BNPT RI will continue to be committed to resolving all forms of terrorism in the country, both politically and ideologically motivated.

As the coordinator in countering terrorism, the institution continues to maximize the prevention aspect and supports the role of taking action against cases of terrorism containing politics. For example, the Papua Armed Violence Group (KKB) has done.

"We will maximize the role of coordination in Papua, especially law enforcement officials, to use criminal acts of terrorism firmly and measurably," said Boy.

In maximizing the role of coordination, BNPT increased vigilance considering the geographical conditions and armed groups that seemed to mingle with the community.
