JAKARTA - The Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the Golkar Party, Erwin Aksa, admitted that he was surprised by Anies Baswedan's nominal debt to Sandiaga Uno in a debt agreement circulating on social media.

Erwin admitted that he did not know anything about Anies' total debt for the benefit of the 2017 DKI Pilkada amounting to Rp92 billion. Erwin, who is a former Anies-Sandi Timses in the 2017 DKI Pilkada, said he only knew Anies' debt to Sandi was Rp50 billion.

"I was surprised that there was another Rp92 billion (debt, red). I don't know if Mr. Sandi let it go?" Erwin Aksa said when confirmed, Monday, February 13.

In the debt agreement letter circulating on social media, it was written that Anies Baswedan had complete identity and signature.

The letter, which is an acknowledgment of Anies' debt, also states that loan funds will be used for the 2017 DKI Pilkada campaign fund.

In Anies' debt confession letter, there are seven points listed. In the fifth point, the names Erwin Aksa and his father Aksa Mahmud are listed.

The fifth point reads, "Mr. Sandiaga S. Uno knows that both the Loan Fund I, Loan Fund II and Loan Fund III are not for my personal interest but are needed as funds for the 2017 DKI Pilkada Campaign because the funds promised by Mr. Aksa Mahmud/Erwin Aksa ("guarantor"), based on an agreement between Mr. Aksa Mahmud and the Prosperous Justice Party and the Gerindra Party which I did not attend the meeting/agreement, have not yet been available".

In the debt recognition letter, it was written that Anies had three debts from Sandi, namely the first loan of Rp. 20 billion, the second loan of Rp. 30 billion, and the third loan of Rp. 42 billion. So that in the third point of the debt recognition letter, Anies acknowledged the total amount of loan funds amounting to Rp92 billion.

"I don't know (the Rp92 billion agreement), and I just found out that," said Erwin Aksa.

Previously, Anies Baswedan clarified about his receivable debt with Sandi regarding the 2017 DKI Pilkada. Anies said that the debt that was recently circulated was not valid if he succeeded in winning the 2017 DKI Pilkada contestation. Anies admitted that the agreement was carried out in writing and signed. Because Anies and his partner, Sandi won the 2017 DKI Pilkada, then the Rp50 billion debt was declared paid off and did not need to be paid as stated in the agreement. "If we win the regional election then this is declared not a debt and completed, a form of support. So, that's what happened. Once the election is finished, win, is finished," said Anies on Merry Riana's YouTube channel, Friday, February 10. Meanwhile, Sandi is reluctant to discuss again about Anies' debt in the 2017 DKI Pilkada. According to him, it is time to look to the future. "After I pray tikharah, I don't want to continue the conversation about this. It's better for the parties who know to convey, from me enough, I want to focus on looking into the future," Sandiaga said, Saturday, February 11.
